Scholastic Corporation Announces Fourth Quarter Dividend

New York – March 20, 2019 – Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors today declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per share on the Company’s Class A and Common Stock for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019. The dividend is payable on June 17, 2019 to all shareholders of record as of the close of business on April 30, 2019.

Scholastic Completes Sale of Educational Technology and Services Business Segment

New York – May 29, 2015 – Scholastic Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHL), the global children’s publishing, education and media company, announced today it had completed the previously reported sale of its Educational Technology and Services business segment (“EdTech”) to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Company (NASDAQ: HMHC), including the equity in International Center for Leadership in Education and Tom Snyder Productions, Inc., for $575 million in cash, subject to adjustment.

Scholastic is extremely pleased that Judge Scheindlin decided to dismiss, at the earliest stage possible, the lawsuit brought against Scholastic by the estate of Adrian Jacobs. The Court's swift dismissal supports our position that the case was completely without merit and that comparing Willy the Wizard to the Harry Potter series was absurd.
