Scholastic Releases Summer Reading Stats From the 8th Edition of The Kids & Family Reading Reportâ„¢
NEW YORK – April 7, 2023 – Scholastic (NASDAQ: SCHL), the global children’s publishing, education and media company, today released a first look at summer reading data from the eighth edition of its Kids & Family Reading Report™, a national survey of parents’ and children’s reading attitudes and behaviors. The newly released data highlights parents’ and kids’ views on summer reading–a topic that is top of mind for administrators and educators across the country. This new research delves into parents’ understanding of the importance of summer reading and how access to books is limited over the summer due to school recess, while tapping into kids’ interests to offer parents and educators useful tips for summer reading success.
