New York, NY – July 11, 2017 – Scholastic Canada, a subsidiary of Scholastic (NASDAQ: SCHL), the global children’s publishing, education and media company, is the publisher of 25 of the 150 top selling books of the last 10 years written by Canadian authors, according to a list published by BookNet Canada in recognition of Canada’s 150th Birthday. Beloved author Robert Munsch has 35 titles in the top 150 books, more than any other single author, adult or children’s. Of those 35 titles, Scholastic Canada publishes 20 which are illustrated by long-time collaborator Michael Martchenko. Also featured on the list are Scholastic Canada books by author Gordon Korman, author/illustrators Phoebe Gilman, Barbara Reid and Jeremy Tankard, and author Helaine Becker with illustrator Werner Zimmermann.
