University of Chicago Helps Elementary Students Build Home Libraries

My Very Own Library program to provide free books to students in U.S. cities and Dominican Republic 

CHICAGO – The University of Chicago is helping thousands of students kick start their home libraries this year by partnering with schools, nonprofit organizations, and Scholastic Book Fairs,  to provide half a million free books through the UChicago My Very Own Library literacy program.

50,000 Students from New Jersey, Delaware, Wisconsin, Missouri, Illinois, California, and the Dominican Republic Will Each Choose 10 Free Books, Meet Favorite Children’s Book Authors and Participate in School-Wide Literacy Events Throughout the Year
